Jay Roberts
Jay has been an owner and partner of accounting firms and other small businesses since the age of 24. An accountant by trade (with sense of humour intact), Jay specialises in business strategy and consultation, assisting clients to improve, grow and be financially successful.
With notable successes of quadrupling an accounting firm in seven years and rescuing floundering businesses to have then been sold for significant profit several years later, Jay is highly accomplished in his field. As with all growing businesses, Jay has had to deal with building effective systems, nurturing and retaining sta ff and the constant challenge of keeping ahead of the competition.
He partnered with Thornton Partners, Chartered Accountants, in March 2008 to head up the 10X Business Coaching Division. Thornton Partners is a diverse accounting firm with 30 staff, located in East Perth, servicing the SME and agricultural sector of WA.
Given Jay is married with three children, his spare time revolves around family and children’s sport activities, however when the occasion arises he does enjoy bushwalking and wine tasting (not necessarily in that order).
